The Tasks screen is used to create and manage tasks related to projects, invoices, customers, estimates, expenses, and proposals.
1.5.1. Add New Task
- Step 1: Click on the New Task button.
- Step 2: The system will display the Add New Task popup. Enter the required details and click Save.
Task Fields Explanation:
- Public: If enabled, the task is visible to all users; otherwise, it is restricted to assigned users.
- Billable: If enabled, the task can be invoiced.
- Attach Files: Upload files related to the task.
- Hourly Rate: Enter the per-hour rate for the task.
- Estimated Time: Set the expected duration for task completion.
- Start Date & Due Date: Define task start and end dates.
- Status: Select the task status (data retrieved from the Status Labels screen).
- Priority: Set task priority level.
- Repeat Every: Define task recurrence frequency.
- Related To: Link the task to a Project, Invoice, Customer, or other entity.
- Assignee Team: Select the team responsible for executing the task (data retrieved from the Teams screen).
1.5.2. Add New Subtask
- Step 1: Click on New Subtask or select Add Subtask within an existing task.
- Step 2: The system will display the Add New Subtask popup. Enter the required details and click Save.
1.5.3. Edit Task
- Click the Edit button next to the task you want to modify.
1.5.4. Delete Task
- Click the Delete button next to the task you want to remove.
1.5.5. View Task Details
- Step 1: Click on the task you want to view.
- Step 2: The system will display the Task Information popup.
Task Information Section:
- Hourly Rate: Displays the per-hour charge for the task.
- Estimated Task Value: Shows the estimated cost of completing the task.
- Actual Task Value: Displays the total value earned based on time logged.
- Logged Time: Displays actual time spent on the task.
- Total Logged Time: Shows the total hours recorded by all assigned employees.
- Billable Status: Indicates whether the task has been billed.
1.5.6. Tasks Overview (Kanban View)
The Tasks Overview function provides a Kanban-style view of all tasks, categorized by status for better visualization.
